Baruch Foodies
Welcome to Baruch Foodies, a blog dedicated to the person with an appetite for food. This blog is aimed to give you a unique perspective of the food scene in New York City. As students at Baruch College, located in the heart of the City, we understand what it’s like to live in the city and be surrounded by great restaurants, great cuisines, and great cultures. We are four authors, each with our own special take on places to eat as well as some homemade dishes for when the wallet or the time is tight. Please look through this blog and feel free to comment and share this blog with your friends and family.

Lure Fishbar
We were a group of there here for brunch and had a great time. Everything we had was delicious, we ordered a huge seafood platter to share, all of it fresh and ice-cold, wonderful oysters. The cocktails were fantastic, well balanced, creative and delicious. Interesting menu items, everyone enjoyed what they had, I had the roasted chatham cod, which is really good though, great flavors. Excellent!
Ambience was fun, the restaurant is a few steps down from the sidewalk and the inside is intended to make you feel like you are in a large ship. The decor is nice and there are windows up top and you can see the people outside walking above you. Service was a little slow and disorganized, we wondered a few times if the staff might have been hungover. You would expect better service for the prices you're paying, because this place definitely isn't cheap. Overall we had a wonderful time though, and I would definitely like to go again, the dinner menu looks great. If you've got some money to spend and want a nice seafood meal, check this place out!
