Buddha Bodai in Flushing is one of my most favorite resturants because not only does it serve good vegetarian Chinese food, but because it serves comfort vegetarian Chinese food. To those who think that Chinese vegetarian food involves only tofu and bak choy; you are very very wrong. It is much more than that. My family and I have been frequenting the Flushing location ever since it has opened, closed, and reopened again because the chef is consistent. The textures and tastes are almost like the real thing. It is healthy and a place worth trying. He alway tries new dishes and is happy to give away his recipes to his customers. The menu is completely vegetarian and this is just a small sample of what the resturant has to provide. The dishes featured are Sesame Seaweed Roll and Roasted Pork. There are two locations: Flushing and Chinatown but I only recommend the Flushing location. They are also available for Dim Sum in the morning.
